Fitbit Ace's wristband too small

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Why should I have to purchase a brand new strap for my son's Fitbit Ace when it should be adjustable in sizing. It's too snug for my 12 yr old son & I don't see why I should pay out when it's a brand new purchase. Fitbit this is not acceptable, he's disappointed as he loves the electric blue colour. Not happy!

Hi @Tracie2018

Checking the band measurements:

Ace : One Size; fits wrists 5.0” - 6.34" in circumference.

Alta HR (bands also fit the Ace)

Small : Fits wrists 5.5" - 6.7" in circumference

Large : Fits wrists 6.7" - 8.1" in circumference

X-Large : Fits wrists 8.1" - 9.3" in circumference

Band sizes are hard to figure out when there are some adults who could easily wear the smaller child's Ace and have room to spare. Sizes may change in the future and the Ace was a recent product release.

Having the Ace for children allows those under the age of 13 to have a device and be able to join in the fun of tracking their activity or competing with family in challenges.

This might not be the answer you were looking for, but it does show the band sizing in case you decide to get another one.

Just a thought, but if you need to get a larger size band for you son, what if you used one blue strap and one of a larger strap. The width of both the Ace and Alta HR is 0.61 inch. Not a perfect solution, but it could work.

Have to agree, that electric blue is stunning!

Hello @Tracie2018, it's good to see you visiting the forums for the first time.

Thanks for your feedback regarding the Fitbit Ace wristband not being adjustable in sizing, I'm sure this type of feedback that Fitbit is gathering from its users will be of great help. Ace wristband is currently smaller than others, they're shorter than Alta and Alta HR bands in size small.

I've sent your information to the Customer Support team regarding the size of the Ace wristband, so you should be receiving a replay soon.

Thanks @Odyssey13, you're right, the electric blue is awesome. Smiley Happy

I have new Fitbit Charger 2 and the wristband is too short. My wrist is 7 and 3/8 inches. Is there a longer band?

Thanks! I did tighten it one more notch so it stays buckled now but it is too tight.

My child is only 8! Kids sizes vary a lot between ages 6-13! There should be other options than having to spend $25 additional for an adult wristband. NOT acceptable!
