Fitbit Ace won’t stay turned on

My Fitbit Ace Won’t stay turned on, acts like the better is dead.  I put it in the charger and it says it is about 75% charger.  When I take it off the charger, it is dead 1 minute later.   I’ve used different chargers, computer USB to charge, wall charger... nothing.

I won this ace Fitbit at the pure kids triathalon series in 2019 so I can’t return it to a store.   Any help is appreciated. I love my Fitbit and just want it to work again.

Hi @LiliyaFitbit ,

We just restarted it and it turned off within 5 minutes.   It said it had 3/4 full battery.

I have been having the same issue that Paluce mentioned with regards to the battery life shortening and requiring charging every day. Earlier this morning, my device turned off and while I tried to charge, the charge is not taking even though the charger is plugged in correctly. It has been plugged in for several hours now but the charge icon has not moved incrementally from the ~ 3/4 position since it has been there. I tried the restart option that you mentioned in your comment to Paluce but unfortunately that is not working either and I am unable to restart the device. Are there any additional recommendations that you have for how I can rectify this issue?

Thank you.

Hello:

I am having the same issue as others on this thread.  My daughter's ace has stopped working (won't turn on) once it gets to 3/4 battery level.  She has always let the battery run down all the way before charging it.  Now she has to charge it every day in order for it to keep working because it won't stay on very long.  We have restarted it, but it still behaves the same way.  We've only had this ace for 1 1/2 years.  Current firmware is 37.37.1.1.  Thank you for any help you can provide.

Wanted to post an update here.  After going through troubleshooting hoops, Fitbit didn't admit the issue and said it's out of warranty, but you can buy another one at basically full price.  Ridiculous!  I've purchased 3 of these for my kids including the newer Ace2 and they all have had charging issues or battery problems.  Pretty disappointed with the quality of the hardware and lack of Fitbit support to make it right.

Did Fitbit give you any case numbers so that this can be tracked better? This started happening on our Ace as well and just started troubleshooting.
