Fitbits for kids w/o accounts

Hi there,

All 3 of my kids have received fitbits for their birthdays this year and I need to set them up.

However, I really don't want to have to sign up for an account for each of their devices.

Is it possible to use the fitbit *without* a registered account with them? I just want my kids to be able to see their heart rates and track their steps per day. Never sync, never sign up for anything, never register an email address (they don't even have email addresses yet).

Any help or tips or is this straight up not possible? I have searched around and can't find the definitive answer.

Thanks in advance!

Assuming the kids' trackers are Aces or Ace 2's, that's what the Family Account is for.  Everything is done from your account.

See How do I manage my Fitbit family account?

and How do I set up Fitbit Ace devices?

If you don't have a Fitbit, that is okay; you can still set up your own Fitbit account to manage the kids' trackers.

You mention heart rates; these are not tracked on kids' trackers: Ace or Ace 2.

As far as using without an account, I'm not sure if that is even possible, and there certainly would be serious limitations.  I don't think you could ever set correct time and date, without correct time, it would not know to reset daily stats including steps at midnight, you could never get any updates, you could not see any historic data or any sleep data, etc.  You might be able to see daily step count but it would reset at weird time.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
