I set up an account and linked my sons Fitbit, but i got him the black inspire and not the ace. It ended up being set up under my name because he's only 9 and can't have his own account and doesn't have his own mobile device either. I got my younger son the Ace and want to add them to 1 family account, can I do this now?? I'm usually pretty quick with these things but this Fitbit set up for kids has me confused.
thanks
Paulina

Hi @PaulinaD, welcome to the Fitbit Community forums.
Thank you for your inquiry regarding the family account and your son's Fitbit Inspire.
Keep in mind that only the Fitbit Ace has been specifically designed for kids and it's the only device that could be added or set up to a child account.
In the case of the Fitbit Inspire, this could only be set up creating an adult account (with a different age) for your son and then add him to the family account, but this is not recommended by Fitbit for the reasons mentioned earlier; and because your son doesn't have a mobile device, it wouldn't be possible to use the Kid view feature and separate your own personal data from his if you use your phone to set it up.
Another alternative would be to return the device for a refund and purchase another Fitbit Ace or Ace 2, so you can add it to the family account as a Kid and enjoy all the features and privacy protection characteristics from parent view with both of your children.
Additionally, I recommend that you vote for this idea posted in the Feature Suggestion board of the Community forums: Allow More Fitbit Devices than Ace to Family Account. This is always useful for the team of developers.
Let me know if you have further questions.
