Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Bobby2pointo.

Thank you for your question.

The Fitbit Ace 3 tracks sleep, all-day steps and Active Minutes. There is no option to track activities with this device.

How comes on the app it shows something different. It shows a notifications setting. An exercise setting with various exercises.

What kid watch is that then?

I have the same problem/question; in the user manual it shows the Ace 3 with a screen/tile showing ‘exercise’,’run’ & ‘relax’…I can’t find it anywhere on the watch?

I just checked the User Manual and I didn't find that information.

Could you please share an image of what is showing on your end?

I'll be waiting for your response.

@EdsonFitbit here you have a screenshot from the in-app user manual. I confirm what my colleagues (as in Fitbit users) are saying.

Hello everybody,

Could you please tell me if there are instructions that describe exercise, run and relax, or is it just the image?

@EdsonFitbit it's not a fixed image but an animated one showing exercise (run and swim) and also relax app.

As they say an image worths more than hundreds of words

Best Answer

Yes this is what I was referring to as well, I.e. the moving images in the in-app manual. It implies the exercise functions are similar to the adult version (I’m aware there is no GPS tracking).

Thanks!

Thanks a lot @EdsonFitbit for following up the matter.

Just to clarify: when you say "to  have it fixed soon" do you mean to implement the missing functions in the tracker or just change the in-app manual? I'm afraid you will answer "the second" .

If you refer to the pictures @SunsetRunner uploaded, you can see what it says.

Thanks for your question, @SunsetRunner.

The Fitbit Ace 3 was not designed to track activities, therefore the in-app manual needs to be changed.

Thank you for your comment, @CookieDD.

Hi EdsonFitbit,

I am wondering if there is any update to this issue?  I bought an Ace 3 in July thinking that it tracks activities based on the product description and the instruction manual but then discovered that it doesn't.  After some research, I saw this post from January so I'm wondering what's the status on this now?  Is this going to be fixed or should I get another tracker that does automatic tracking of activities?

Thanks!

Indeed, it doesn't and will probably never do it. Another Fitbit 'specificity'. Suggest you do like many, buy a product from a brand that actually does what it says, and does not lie on manuals. The disappoinments with Fitbit never ends...

Best Answer

Thanks for confirming.  The worst part of this experience is that I felt like an idiot trying to figure it out when the product doesn’t even have that function.  What a dumb way to treat your customers Fitbit!  Think we’ll ever buy another one of your products?  C’iao!
