@Rspiers Welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry about the hard time you've experienced with your Fitbit Ace display. In order to avoid any misunderstanding on my end and provide a solution, I would like to know if you are having difficulties when trying to change your Ace's clock face.
On an aside note, I also assume what you meant. Actually, the "K" that appears next to the amount of steps, means that you've walked 1800 steps. In other words, the "K" stands for a thousand, not kilometers.
Thanks a lot for your help my friend @SunsetRunner!
Looking forward to your response!

That doesn’t make sense as kms is selected as the units. There is only kms or miles to select on the app. However it shows steps under “today” but on the device it says k. Think about it why wouldn’t “k” equal “steps”. My stride length appears to have been set to 69cm (not by me). This is grayed out - I can’t change it. A meter equals 100cm. The numbers don’t add up for the “k”
to equal my step count.
Annoying device not just for this but I almost always have to tap to bring up display and can’t see it when wearing polarized sunglasses.

@Sparksie "k" is just a shorthand for thousand and nothing to do with distance. So if you took 5,000 steps, it would say "5K". Essentially it is a space saver for a small screen.
