Marketing a fitness tracker to children but then requiring said child to have a device is backwards.
If a device is required then it shouldn't be marketed to children.
There should be an option to manage and use the ACE Fitbit under the parents account.

Hi there, @Lostm.
Thanks for the details and screenshot provided. Let me explain that we ask parents to use their child mobile device to complete the set up process only if that's available. However, if the child doesn't have or isn't allowed to have one, the parents can use their own mobile devices, switch to kid view and set up the Ace device. Keep in mind that a Family Account is required to manage a child account and connect a kids tracker.

By the way, I've moved your post to the Ace & Family Accounts board so we can keep the forums organized.
