Hi @RichThomps1, welcome to the Community forums, and thanks for your inquiry about how to change the birth date of a child, other users may have the same question.
The date of birth is actually locked after a child account is created, so currently this information can't be changed. As an alternative, you could create another child account with the correct date, and you would also need to make sure to remove the Ace from the current child account and then setup to the new account with the correct DOB.
I hope this helps.

It would appear there is a glitch on the set up?? As I have set an account up for my daughter and her birthday date is now out by 2 days. I note you say about loading her device again but will we not loose all the info?
thanks

Hi @SunsetRunner, thanks for this information, and welcome to the Community forums.
For the moment I haven't seen other reports yet about the date of birth being incorrect after setup.
The information would be lost with the steps I mentioned, because you would be creating a new child account and starting from scratch, but the birthday shouldn't be changing once you've completed setup, so it's not something that you have to keep doing constantly.
Have you recently completed the setup process? Could you please try with the steps I mentioned and check if the date of birth stays accurate over the next few days?

I have the same problem. If I set up new account and delete the current one, my daughter will lose all her sleep/ exercise, etc logs. All data -lost. I thought I could maybe go into the parent account to edit her personal info.. I can change her name , sex, etc - all but the birthdate. Her birthdate is off by 1 day. It was entered correctly. But fitbit changed it I guess after we entered the info in. I'm guessing it rolled back, unnoticed. Not happy I have to delete current account to fix this. Otherwise its great. Super easy to set up in 5 min or less.

Welcome to the forums @Kimak29, and thank you for the update @SunsetRunner.
Thank you for sharing your feedback about this option to change the date of birth in the child account.
At the moment we haven't received any updates to know if this will be possible with a future update, however, I would also recommend that you post this idea in the Feature Suggestion board of the Community, this is always helpful to attract more attention from the team of developers.
I hope this helps.

Hi,
i also think there’s a glitch in the setup as I know my daughter’s date of birth and it’s only now that I noticed it’s 3 days out, after nearly a month of use ? I tried to correct hence coming across this forum of how to correct it
thanks

Thank you for sharing this information @Beetroot888, and welcome to the Community forums.
At the moment there's no way to change the date of birth, as mentioned here earlier, this is locked after a child account is created, so the only alternative at the moment would be to create another child account with the correct date.
I haven't seen other reports about the glitch you mentioned during set up, but will definitely keep an eye for other users who may be experiencing something similar, thank you again for sharing this.
Let us know if you have any questions.

This is definitely a glitch in the setup. I have three kids, and I know their birthdays. All got Fitbit Ace blacelets at the same time last Xmas, and now all three birthdays are off by 1 day - showing the date 1 day before the actual birthday on all three profiles.

I was wondering if it was a glitch too. I entered my son's birthday correctly but when I went to kid's view on his tablet, I noticed it was the day before his birthday showing.
So there's no other way to edit the birthday? This is odd.
I just tested this out. I created another username with my son's correct birthday and took a screenshot of the entered info (for my records). Then when I went to the profile, it was the day before his birthday again! Fitbit, can you look into this issue?

I seem to have a similar issue, I was sure I set up my daughters birthday correctly, but it is one day out (2nd instead of 1st), but my sons worked fine (same day I set them up)

I have exactly the same problem. I entered the birthdays for my two boys and both are out by one day. One was set up as 31.01.2010 and is showing 01.02.2010 and the other was set up as 09.04.2012 and is showing 10.04.2012
