How to change a child's birth date in the family account?

I’ve entered my child’s birth date wrong by 2 days how can I change this as when I click on personal for him it won’t let me alter it

I am having the same issue with my daughters birthday being off by 1 day. Please inform when there is a solution to this problem or a way to edit the dob. Thanks!

My son's bday on his account is also wrong. I'd like to have the option to fix it.

Hi. I can report that this birthdate issue still exists. I set my son up yesterday as a child of my family account. His birthday is in February. I know his birthdate - because he's my son! - and entered it correctly during set-up but it now shows as today, i.e. set-up + 1 day, albeit with the correct year. It'll be interesting to see if it changes tomorrow.

Thanks for letting me know that you're having the same situation. As @DavideFitbit mentioned in his post, currently we don't have an option to change the birth date in a child's account. I understand your point of view about this, and I'd recommend to check this idea posted in the Feature Suggestions board. Show your support by adding your vote and comments. The more votes the better the chance of getting the attention of the developers.

This 'idea' you suggested to check is irrelevant, as it talks about date of
birth being entered incorrectly at account creation. This is actually not
the issue - the date of birth is entered correctly, but Fitbit does not
records it correctly, or perhaps modifies it shortly after account
creation, possible due to difference in time zones.

I've deleted the account and set it up numerous times over past year. (Thinking maybe Fitbit fixed the glich.)  It's still a glich on Fitbit's side of things. Checking before confirming set up doesn't do anything. It will always come out as a day off from actual Date of birth.

I have this same issue. My son's birthday is showing the day before his actual birthday. I don't want to create a new account and lose all of his old data. It seems like this is information that parents should be able to update on our own.

I’m having exactly the same issue. I set up my child’s account with the correct date of birth and it’s displaying a day after.

I just set up my sons new Fitbit ace today and we had the same issue. I set up his birthday correctly and it then pushed it out 3 days.

Having the same issue. Set up my daughter's Ace 2 two days ago and just noticed her birthdate in her profile is showing as a day earlier.  Has there been a fix to this yet? Hard to believe offering users an edit option is that difficult.

I have the exact same problem!  I am pretty sure I entered the birth date in correctly, but my daughter just told me that it's one day out.  She's already had things set up so doesn't want to go with creating a new account.  Is there any way to fix this?

Thanks for letting me know that the same happened to you when setting up your daughters' Ace 2. Our team is aware about this situation affecting some of our users and they're working to get it resolved as soon as possible. There aren't details about the time frame, but as mentioned above, I'll update you once I have more details from them.

I'm really frustrated that same thing has happened with me. I've created the family account (that wanted all my weight info etc even though I don't own a fitbit!) and then created my son's account however my son's date of birth is showing as 1 day later than it is! Sooo frustrated! Good to know that it's pointless deleting that account. Would like a fix ASAP please

I can't believe it's been more than a year and this bug is still not fixed!

The same thing happened to my son's profile. I entered the date correctly and now is showing as one day before.

I don't understand if I'm able to change my birthdate,  why not my kid's?

As a computer engineer, I know this is not rocket science to code! And as a customer, this is TERRIBLE customer service!

I'm adding to the chorus of people who have experienced this bug.  We bought an Ace 2 and my daughter's birthday is off by a day despite having input it correctly.  I also deleted her child account and reinstalled it to no avail -- her birthday is still off by a day.  

 

It seems like after over 2 years of reports, Fitbit is unlikely to fix this problem.  I don't think I would have purchased this for my child for the holidays if I had known this problem was likely to occur and have no resolution.

Same here. My son's birthday is off by 1 day and we entered it correctly. Now I can't change it. It would be nice if we could fix it at least from the parent's account.
