I had to return a Fitbit ace to the retailer I bought it from as it was faulty - they replaced it with a Fitbit Inspire but I'm struggling to get it set up for my 10 yr old daughter as the fitbit app only seems to want to set up an Ace or an Ace 2 on my daughter's child account.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @PaulNewman only the Ace series is set up for children. The Inspire or any other Fitbit style is not for children. The reason is that the various countries have laws set forth about minors being online and having accounts. In the US, the age is 13 and in some European countries the age is 16. Is there a way to get the Ace 2 for your daughter?

@PaulNewman, I'm sorry for the late response. However, let me welcome you to our Fitbit forums.
The information that @Odyssey13 shared about Fitbit devices for children is totally correct. I'd like you to check out this help article, which explains more information about how to manage your Family account.
I'll be around if any question arises.

I get the online account thing (although my daughter has a school O365 account) but why couldn't there just be a profile under my family for her (without an email or any online interaction) that all activity with the Inspire gets logged too. I am sure this is all most people want is a separate space for the child, one that they can refer to, even if that has to be via the adult signing in to show them.
I just needs to be a tag, a sub-profile, anything that just allows an adult with a Fitbit account to keep their child's data separate.
