Through Google I ended up on fitbitstore.us which I thought was the actual fitbit site. I ordered 2 fitbit ace 2s, but became suspicious when I didn't get a confirmation and then couldn't create an account on site. They did charge me through paypal which listed the items (but uses a personal gmail account with a Chinese name). But have otherwise no idea if the order is being processed. This was 3 days ago and I am trying to figure out if I ended up getting scammed and should begin the process of contesting charge.

Just to complete the thread here is an update on how this resolved. Quick summary of my ordeal:
- I ordered thinking it was actual fitbit store (April 30th?)
- didn't get any confirmation of purchase
- did get email from paypal notifying me of transaction.
- no response when I tried contacting them by website or email listed as seller on paypal email
- called Paypal explained why it was all fishy (May 4th)
- Paypal gave the seller until may 25th (3 weeks) to respond about what was happening.
- On May 21st, I get Paypal email that seller posted tracking number and another saying they got response and were reviewing.
- UPS tracking shows it delivered on May 7. Looking at tracking it shipped UPS Ground from Illinois at 1am 5/6 and got to me in Rochester, NY by 3pm 5/7.Town listed was correct. Seemed legit but I didn't get anything and speed of shipping seemed suspicious.
- Called PayPal. I think they were going to close claim in sellers favor, but agent said they would call UPS to make sure it went to my address.
- got email shortly after saying they were closing claim in my favor so I got my money back.
Not sure if they found something suspicious, if it got delivered to the wrong place, or if Paypal decide a refund was the most efficient path. Just tried fitbitstore.us and server can't be found.

Wonderful news @aceckert and thanks for documenting it so well for others to see. It shows you just have to keep at it and not give up. Are you going to get a Fitbit now from a local authorized retailer or from Fitbit.com directly? The Father's Day sale ought to begin soon and I'm sure Best Buy and other places will have sales for that and for graduation.

I am. I have a Ionic myself, which I love, but was getting 2 Ace 2s to keep them inspired to stay active while we are stuck at home (note to any future readers, it is 2020).

This happened to me and I never got my Fitbit. Fitbit had no record of the sale and PayPal said it was delivered by 2nd day UPS. I went to tracking and though my address was correct in my PayPal order the actual place of final delivery was only my town not my address! Gonna call UPS now but this scam seems to be very high level! Same weird Chinese name and email and they never replied to my email.

I hope they figure it out for you. The fitbitstore.us no longer be launches, so I am assuming the proper people have caught on to their tactics.

I also called UPS and they said the package was NOT delivered to my address! This scammer is clever and from another post I learned he delivers an empty box to a random address in your town once you start placing inquiries. I ordered on May 3 rd and was charged right away. On the 8th I emailed them and that was what triggered the fake UPS package to cover themselves with PayPal.

I am dealing with this seller right now. Never received item. Out $185. Seller shipped to someone else in my same city. Never got tracking number until I filed dispute. Seller never answered my emails. Found out package tracking number was addressed to another indivisible at another address. PayPal denied my claim but we are looking at reopening due to fraud after my deep dive investigation. UPS giving me hard time.
You won’t get the item. It’s a scam. It happpebed to me

I purchased 3 Fitbit through fitbitstore.us on 4 May through PayPal. I thought it was odd that I never received an order confirmation or tracking information.
I was successful With my bank reimbursing next for my money however I now have a negative balance on my PayPal account. I filed my first dispute with PayPal on 21 May (I thought reporting fraud through my bank was enough, I was wrong) because that’s when my PayPal account reflected a negative balance.
May dispute was denied, PayPal sided with the seller because the seller provided PayPal with tracking/delivery information from the sender.
According to the e-mail from PayPal the sender claims the product was delivered by UPS at 2:31pm on 8 May, however I have a Ring doorbell and did not receive any packages at that time.
Today I tried to go to fitbitstore.us and the server cannot be connected.
we have all been scammed. PayPal’s customer service is terrible. I’m unable to speak with an actual person via phone and I’m on my third message with them because they can close their messages at their leisure.

This scammer got me as well! I clicked on a link at the bottom of Target.com. Site claimed to be fitbitstore.us and had the Charge 4 for 30% off. I really had no idea it wasn't a Fitbit site. I went through the Paypal site and then realized I was in trouble when I got the email from Paypal saying I authorized payment to Vu Pham! Called Paypal right away and started the dispute process. Paypal contacted the seller and Vu Pham somehow came up with what I know is a bogus UPS tracking number that said it was delivered. Paypal closed the dispute and awarded the scammer the money! I'm now going to go through my credit card. No way I'm eating this. Paypal should just look at this conversation page and see they have a big problem on their hands.

To all who have been scammed: the only thing that might help you at this time would be to get media attention. Contact your local tv news department and ask them what can be done. If they want to interview you, do it. The more attention on the scammers the better. It's not just one of you, it's so many of you. How many are too ashamed to stand up and say it happened to them, too. I know in many states, it's suggested to get with the State Attorney General for scams and price gouging. From what I've read, most of you have documentation of what's happened. You can be sure an eager news reporter will get with your banks, credit card companies, Paypal and UPS and ask them what's going on, too.
Fitbit isn't responsible for these scammers or the web sites they make. It's just sad these people continue to hurt people and still manage to walk away with a lot of money. Consumers will just have to start being more careful when they search prices on products and only go to the authentic maker of that product or an authorized retailer, as listed on the real product's page.
Whatever happens, don't any of you give up on wanting to follow the Fitbit fitness journey.

So I also got scammed. No tax, no Fitbit charge 4 & my complaint straight away to PayPal that this was fraud had been declined twice. I am now working through my bank to try and recover the $129. I am very disappointed with PayPal. They are supposed to have guarantees when they is fraud & items are not received. The only positive is the website has now gone do hopefully others will not be scammed too. I complained to google as it was their top sponsored site.

What pisses me off is this is the exact name that got me VU Pham and if we have both disputed the same exact name why are they denying the claim?
@Bibster66 how did you get it reopened? I disputed it back on the 11th followed up in it again on the 27th and they said it was never filed by the last agent and filed it again on the 27th and I know I am going to get a fake tracking and the case will close like everyone else. PayPal is a fricken joke.

My PayPal is with Vu Pham as well. My PayPal case has been denied twice. I raised it on the day of the transaction as fraudulent. I am on my third appeal after denial. They have actually contacted VU Pham now and hadn’t before. I am disgusted with PayPal
