Issue creating family account

I am having difficulty creating a family account. Have just purchased an Ace 3 for my sons birthday. Have create him a profile and am up to the create family account stage and get the notification saying I don't have permission to create one.

Thank you for sharing that you've been experiencing this inconvenience to create a Family Account. 

 

If possible, could you please share a screenshot of the error message you mentioned, so we can further investigate? In the meantime, let me know if you're trying to create this family account from your own adult/guardian account and you can try the following steps as well: 

 

  1. Log out from the Fitbit app.
  2. Clear Cache and Cookies for the Fitbit app on the phone's settings. 
  3. Restart your phone. 
  4. Log back in and check if you're able to create the family account. 

In addition, make sure that you've followed all the recommendations listed in this article to create the Family Account as well.
