My 7 year old has been wanting a fitness tracker and I was happy to see that a kid account was now an option. However, instead of buying her a $100 tracker which she will likely be bored with in a few weeks, I told her we could order a new band and she could have my old Zip as I recently upgraded to the Charge 3. However, when I created her a kid account under mine, it will only let me connect an Ace which I have no plans of purchasing right now (maybe as a birthday or Christmas gift IF she wears the Zip and still wants one when those days roll around). It would be really nice if I could connect the Zip to her kid account since she's too young for a regular account. I know the counter will work fine by itself, but it does need to be synced to keep the time correct and do any long range tracking of her movements. I don't want it just connected to my account all the time because then it will add my steps and hers together which will skew my own data. Could you PLEASE fix it so that kid accounts could work with any tracker? Or at least SOME of the other trackers such as Zip? We just came home to set her up this afternoon and she's upset that we can't hook it to my phone which is frustrating.

@Mrshurt25 Welcome to our Fitbit Community! Regarding your inquiry, the Ace is the only tracker that can be set up for children on a Family account.
However, I recommend you to give your vote to this Feature Suggestion, which asks to have to availability to set up other trackers besides the Ace for children. The more votes this idea gets, the more chances it will have to be reviewed by our engineers.
I appreciate your feedback and let me know if you have any doubts!
