Minion Face on Ace 3 always sleeping

My son really loves the minion face on his Ace 3, but the minion on the watch face is always sleeping.  At one point, it jumped up and down with a medal around bed time (he was very excited), but the rest of the time it just sleeps.  The screenshots on the face selection page show is running, skateboarding, etc...

Does anyone understand what the different activities mean and why his is always sleeping regardless of how many steps he's getting during the day?

Thanks!

Answer - the minion sleeps when the watch is in sleep mode.  This is pretty obvious in hindsight, but less obvious if you didn't know the watch had sleep mode and your 4 year old just fiddled with it to enable it and had no idea :).

Either way, turned sleep mode off (and scheduled it to his sleeping hours) and problem solved.
