My Son is experiencing skin irritation_ Ace 2

Hi there,

My son has been experiencing redness, soreness and burning on his wrist every time he wears his Ace 2 for the whole day.  The problem does not seem to be the band but the 'charging metal area'. I have tried the care instructions published on Fitbit but it's not working. I have to keep it off him for more than a week to heal every time. He like wearing it so much , he is active boy and he likes to track his efforts. Any solution to this problem? Thanks

@Mooi - I’m so sorry to hear this. Good job checking out the care instructions. The first priority is to keep your son safe. Please do not allow him to wear it again until you either talk to his pediatrician or you talk to Fitbit Support. You can google solutions but most I’ve seen block heart rate. If he/you are mainly concerned with steps, you can always buy an ankle band on Amazon and have him wear it that way, maybe even on his wrist or arm if it will fit. I suggest this because the band I bought for myself, completely encloses the Fitbit device, thus avoiding direct skin contact. You can even buy them in different sizes and colors/designs. Just thinking “outside the box” here. If we cannot “fix” your son’s allergy, maybe we can work around it. I hate to discourage anyone who wants to track their efforts.
