I just connected my Fitbit account and google account and now I can’t find my kids profiles in the new app. How to I switch between the parent profile and get to the children accounts in the new app?

-On the Fitbit app tap on the "You" option in the right lower part of the screen, then under your name you will see "community", and just under it, you will see "Family option", tap on it and that's it

I see my children’s names but nowhere does it say “switch to kid view”

I have since chatted with Fitbit and have figured it out.  I did find a glitch in the process.  When switching between profiles; after switching I can't sync the devices.  But if you close the app and then reopen the app; it will sync again.

Unfortunately you can't. I'm in the same position as you and have contacted Fitbit support but the response wasn't what I was hoping for.

Essentially you need to create a child's profile with Google, which itself is easy enough but the pain comes from the fact that Google expects the child to have their own device (phone or tablet) with which to have their own installation of the Fitbit app. It will flat out not allow you to have the child's account on any device that already has an adults Google account signed in. Oh and I even tried to create an adults profile for my son to use, on my phone but that avenue is blocked too as Google have also restricted the Ace devices to only work with a child's account.

This is exactly correct. I'm having the same issue. Been using Ace3 for my two sons for a few years now without issue. Now with the latest app update I can't pair the devices because they need their own phone and google account. It's one thing to have their own account but a phone? NO WAY. In their instructions it also says that they only need said phone for the set up...... yes, I'll buy a new device for the sole purpose of activating a watch..... for young children.

Even the part about just needing a phone for setup seems like a lie though. I set my son's account up on a old phone and he has his Fitbit working at least but there's still no way to add him to my Fitbit app on my phone. So now we have to keep another phone charged just so he can use his Fitbit. This really is a poor showing from Google.
