No data or option to sync Ace 2 after update

My kid has an ACE 2 that syncs with the app on my iPhone. Until the recent update. Now my info is in there (I don’t recall putting it in). But my kid’s profile shows up as a “friend.” I can’t see any of the data, can’t see an option for syncing.
