Please consider adding other devices to kids accounts. Children under 13 are not allowed to hold accounts of their own. We were gifted a fitbit for my son for Christmas and I wanted to give my daughter my charge 2 when I upgraded but neither can be used. I'm very frustrated as your company will not allow them to be set up under a kids account or create an account.

Hi @Rphtab in this case, it's not Fitbit, but it is the US Government - click to read the "COPPA" regulations which companies need to obey. The Ace series was made especially to allow children six and up to use these services. Fitbit is abiding by those laws. Lying about the age is the only solution, but would create a problem since the algorithms are made based on gender, age, height and weight. So that would give completely wrong data for your child. Lying about the age is the only workaround if you're not using the Ace.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Rphtab. Thank you for your feedback and suggestion regarding adding more devices to kids accounts. It´s a good idea for the kids that are not that kids.
We're constantly striving to improve Fitbit products and services, and we very much appreciate all of the input we receive from our customers. The best place to make your voice heard is the Ideas board. You can vote for suggestion: Allow More Fitbit Devices than Ace to Family Account.
