Pairing Ace with a new device

When I set up my child’s Ace, I paired with my phone, but I would like to switch it to his device. I downloaded the Fitbit app on his device, but I’m not sure what to do next.

@Amynoll I haven’t tried this, but I think it should work.  Login to your account in the app on your child’s device.  Then  switch to kid view and follow the instructions to set up the Ace.

@Amynoll Welcome to our Fitbit Community! Regarding your inquiry, in order to set up the Ace on your child's mobile device, you need to remove the Ace from your own mobile device. Then set up your child's Ace as a new device through their phone.

In addition, please check out this help article in order to know how to manage your Family account.

Thanks a lot for your help my friend @Jrdubyakc!

My kids both got Fitbit Ace's for Christmas and I was able to set up a family account on my mobile (iphone 😎 but when I tried to log into the Fitbit app on their devices (Amazon Fire version 7 or 😎 I could log in with my information but the family account didn't show up.  Because this family account didn't show up (and still doesn't) I paired their Ace's with my phone.  So for the past 2 weeks I have had to continually switch between all of our profiles on my device. It's exhausting and also depressing because the kids can't access their own data when they want it.  So I have 2 questions - 1. When I log into the Fit bit app on their Fire Tablets with my account, how can I make the family account appear (I have followed all of the normal steps and tried it several times with no luck). And 2. if I actually can get the family account to appear, unpair their devices with my phone and have them add it to their tablets can they keep their own profiles or do they have to start from scratch?.  I've been very annoyed with this whole thing.  Thank you!

I got a new phone for my daughter and cannot pair her fitbit ace with the new phone...the app will not find it.  The old phone is gone.  How do I put the ace in pairing mode?

This is so diaappointing to read. I too am getting very frustrated with having to continually switch over and back from parent view to each of my son's views. It is a very cumbersome and user-UNfriendly process. After only just over a week I had enough and decided to sync their devices to their tablets but couldn't see the My Family view. And now I see that Fitbit devices are not compatible with the Kindle Fire. A very unhappy customer here. I would have purchased cheaper alternatives had I known.

@Jillyfo thank you for participating in our Fitbit Community! I totally understand how frustrating is for you since Kindle Fire devices are not compatible with Fitbit trackers and watches.

I really appreciate your patience and comments with this since this helps us to keep improving.

I'd like you to give your vote to this Feature Suggestion which requests the Kindle Fire to be compatible. The more votes this idea gets, the more chances it will have to be reviewed by our engineers.

I'll be around if more assistance is needed.
