Question about fitbit family account

Hi, I was wondering if I will be able to follow my spouses stats through out the day with the family account feature? Like to see the steps and heart rate in my app whenever her tracker synchronizes with the her phone. Same way I can view my stats but now have two sets of data - mine and hers. Anyone has this experience? Currently I own a fitbit while my spouse does not and having this option is a dealbraker for us to buy one or not for her as well.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @bomishketi4.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing your concern about the option to view your spouse's stats with the Family account feature. Thank you for providing the additional details, I am glad to help. I would like to advise that the Fitbit Family account is used in order to set up Fitbit Ace devices which are designed for kids 6+ to be more active and build healthy habits with their families. Fitbit Ace devices don't track heart rate, for more information about Fitbit kids devices see How do I get started with Fitbit kids devices?

While you can add a family member or guardian to your family account, in your case I would suggest to create a regular Fitbit account for your spouse associated with her own email address. You can log out from your Fitbit account on your phone and log into your spouse's Fitbit account using her email address and password in order to see her synced stats through out the day.

Another option will be to add your spouse as a friend after creating her Fitbit account. Your spouse can personalize her Fitbit profile and control the information to share with her friends. For more information, see How do I manage my Fitbit profile?
