Reminders on Ace 2 when connected to parent's phone

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

For starters, my child does not have their own device, so it is paired to my app, which also manges my Charge 4. My question is this: Is it accurate to say that the way for the Ace 2 to get hourly move, silent alarms, cheers, etc. on the tracker is to have it "active" in the app on the device it is paired with? Or, am I missing something?

Assuming this is accurate, this is simply terrible design as few children under 10nor so have a dedicated device they could pair with. (At least on my experience & household). If this is not accurate, please enlighten me as to how I can have all the "bells and whistles" on both our trackers.

Thanks in advance for any insights.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @SunsetRunner. I am sorry for the delayed response.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing your concern about managing and receiving reminders on your child's Ace 2 connected to your phone. Thank you for feedback, our team is always working on improving our devices and user experiences, and your comments are always welcome.

You can connect the Ace 2 tracker to your device, to confirm the steps to set up and sync the tracker please see this help article: How do I set up Fitbit Ace devices? I recommend to keep all-day sync on to automatically see complete activity data on the tracker and in the Fitbit app.

The silent alarms and other reminders should work on the Ace 2. Please check this help article for more details: How do I get started with Fitbit kids devices? I would like to mentioned that when connected to the child's phone, the tracker can alert your child to incoming calls. If Ace is connected to your phone, call notifications should be turned off under kid view in the Fitbit app.

Please find more useful information about the Ace 2 here
