I'm setting up a new Ace 3 for my child - they have their own Google account, and it is linked to my family group, in which I am a parent. They do not have their own seperate device, I am trying to setup their Ace 3 on my phone. When I go to setup the Ace 3 via Family, my child does not show up - they do show up correctly in Family Link and other Google apps. Without this I can't set them up, and won't be able to use the product.
I have tried updating, deleting, reinstalling the Fitbit app, and restarting the phone. Nothing has made any difference.

Sadly I can’t help but I have the same issue. From what I can see this is a known issue. Oddly others seem to be able to get accounts working but I have found it impossible.

Regrettably exactly the same problem. ACE 3 for my daughter, try to set it up - cannot get past the "How to set up Ace 3 for kids" - "Continue" - where you cannot then select a child already setup in Google Family or Add a child.
Followed the same google searched tricks to no avail. Waste of money.
