Setting up an Ace 3 for an Adult

Hi, I am the only family member with a Fit Bit and bought an Ace 3 for me because of size, fit and functionality. I am looking to count steps and be reminded to get it up and move. How do I set it up? Thanks?

I appreciate your interest in Fitbit Ace 3 and understand your concern. I would like to advise that Fitbit designed Fitbit kids devices to encourage kids 6+ to be more active and build healthy habits with their families. Fitbit kids devices can be connected only to a child account. You can find the steps to set up Fitbit Ace devices in How do I set up Fitbit Ace devices?

The link you provided does not show the features that each tracker provides. Instead it is a "quiz" that determines what kind of tracker Fitbit would like you to buy. I would like to see a side by side comparison between all the trackers. I'm especially curious which products don't use GPS or at least allow you to disable the GPS

I, too, bought the Ace 3 for myself (an adult) because I missed the fun aspect of the orginial fitbits, with messages like "You Rock" and "Go go go!"  and the fireworks when you hit your goal, which I found very encouraging. Is it possible to make some of the adult fitbits more fun and less staid? It seems like it ought to be possible to have a clock face and more whimsical programming on the "grown up" fitbits. Or does this already exist and I'm missing something?

Basically, give me the Muffin the Cat clockface on an adult Fitbit (like the Inspire) and you will make my day as well as solve my sync problems to other fitness apps.

@ih82bathe, I'm sorry you didn't want to take a quiz. That link used to get you the comparison of the devices on a chart. Thank you for your comments. 

@syne, I totally understand what you're saying. Exercise should be more fun.  The best place to make your voice heard is the Feature Suggestion board.

I bought a Ace 3 for my partner as she just wanted something small, simple with just the steps and the time. She also works with very young children and they love the little minion’s on it. Even with the Ace 3 the wrist band is still a little large. 

Only problem is the Ace 3 doesn’t sync with Medibank live. Not sure if that’s just Medibank not being up to speed or fitbit. If Fitbit allowed the Ace 3 to login in directly with their own account it might work with Medibank, unfortunately they haven’t worked out how to do this and still have paren’t monitor it.

Ace 3 is designed to be used by children. Your partner won't be able to connect it to adult apps since this specific tracker is meant for children.
