Why has Fitbit made it so hard to set up a kids Ace2 Fitbit? All I want to do it pair it with my phone so my 9 year and tell the time and see how many steps they have done. Why oh why oh why do I need to setup a google child account to do this, which I can’t even do through the app. Fitbit, sort it out this is ridiculous! I just want to use the watch not setup a profile with a thousand steps!

I am in the same boat, we should seek damages for the emotional torment. My eldest son has a versa 4, literally 30s to add to my profile and this Ace3 is a nightmare. I wish I’d forked out to buy them Apple Watches instead, the emotional torment of spending so much would be more bearable than this ridiculously complicated and infuriating process.

Is there a solution to this? I’ve been trying to set up my sons ace 3 and fit bit live chat told me I need two phones to set it up?!?! My son is 6, he does not have a phone and funnily enough I don’t have a spare phone lying around! It’s ridiculous!

I am giving up. The ace 3 is going back. I’m in and endless loop between the Fitbit app and google - I thought I was tech savvy but after 2 hours, I’ve had enough!!

Update. I’ve added a new child Google account. That can’t now be added to the Fitbit app. The Fitbit is therefore on its way back to the shop for a refund.
