Setup Ace 3 on adult account

I got a backup Fitbit Ace 3 for myself and I want to connect it to my account not to a child account. I can go through a workaround making a dummy child account and use it but I don't want to do that.

Is there any way I can just connect Ace 3 to my Adult/Guardian account?

This is what I get while I try to setup.
The page I get when setting up ACE 3

Not sure about that, but if you can return it, the Ace 3 is basically the same as the Inspire 2 with a few options turned off, so you might be more happy with the Inspire 2, generally for about the same price.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

The Inspire 2 does not work as a backup, say when one is charging one’s Charge 5, because one would have to remember to “switch devices” (ie forget the Charge 5 in the app when wearing the inspire, and then forget the inspire when switch again when wearing the charge). It’s this lack of real world usability blindness that’s making me want to step away from Fitbit even though I’ve had one since the One was first released. And those “child only” devices should come with a warning of “can’t be used on regular accounts.”
