I apologize if this has been addressed. But after an hour and a half of dedicated time to figuring this out through searches and being on the chat for half an hour (who wad unable to help). I figured out how to add supervised children (under the Family Link app) to my Fitbit Family Group.
I had been getting an error message when I tried to add them, with no explanation as to the issue.
I wanted to share in case anyone else runs into this issue while migrating to the Google account. I did not want to create a whole new account because my children would then not have their previous stats/data from the past two years.
Here’s how I did it:
I went to the Family Link app and selected controls under my child’s profile and I changed “Controls for Signing In” and “Controls for third party apps” to “no - they can sign in on their own.”
Then I added them to my FitBit app family group with no error message. and then I switched the Family Link app controls back to “yes - ask me everytime.”
I hope this helps others.
