Suggestions on Family Accounts

Hi I don’t want my child accessing the community page on Fitbit and all kids should be able to use the Fitbit they want not just the ace please will you edit the Fitbit family account so you can hook up any Fitbit to the kids profile kind regards, EJ

Hi @TSeRiEs  there is a law which protects children in the USA. click to learn more. There is a similar law in the UK and European countries, too. Unless and until these laws change, Fitbit will have to continue to abide by it. Kids in the UK and other countries have to be 16 and older to use an adult account.

Hi couldn’t you alter the app so kids with Fitbit’s, say the charge 4 for example could connect their Fitbit to a Familyaccount Basically so if selected all Fitbit devices would be compatible with the kid protection account Which is available with ace 1, 2, and three?

Family accounts must have one of the Ace Fitbits. You can't open a Family Account without one of the Ace series. You could have a kid using a Charge 4 join an existing Family Account, but using an adult account would mean lying about the age. Lying about the age would create a problem since the algorithms are made based on gender, age, height and weight.
