Transfer badges from ace 3 to Charge 5

Hello, my child has an Fitbit ace 3 and recently got a Fitbit charge 5. 
He really want all of his badges, steps, etc to be transferred to his new adult account since the charge 5 cant be put in a child’s account on the Fitbit app.

please help

I haven't done this, but would expect procedure is to first upgrade child to standard account as explained in How do I manage my Fitbit family account? , assuming of course child has reached the required ago.  Then switch devices in the now-upgraded account.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
