Unable to setup Ace 3 for months now

Hey everyone Am I the only one having this issue or are people simply just giving up.

As a brand new user for Fitbit I have no way to setup an Ace 3 account.

Here are my issues:

  • Ace 3 requires a child account <13 years
  • Fitbit requires me to create a Google account
  • Google account for <13 years of age has to be a supervised account
  • I cannot login to the Fitbit app for my child because supervised Google accounts are not allowed to log into third party apps

For months now I have been emailing Fitbit support and Google support and no one has a solution to this. Fitbit keeps on sending me the same steps they have published on their website. Not a single person is able to help me. It has become an extraordinarily frustrating experience.

Has Anyone been able to setup Fitbit Ace 3 after their move to Google accounts.

This issue is not fixed! I'm still facing the same problem since 2 weeks now with no possibility to set my daughter's ace3

So let me elaborate maybe this will help. They just fixed it.

  • Click on the link
  • Login with your (parent) Google account (does not matter if you are using iPhone)
  • When asked does your child have a Google account say NO and create a new account for them
  • Now go to your child's device (or use your phone if your child does not have a device)
  • When asked to login to Fitbit select the option to login using a Google account. Even if you have an iPhone
  • Login from the account you newly created

If you have multiple kids and are creating multiple new Google accounts then please remember that a family on Google can only have six members. So for large family I'll advise creating a new family group.

Old child accounts do not work. I cannot use my daughter's old account for this. She now has a secondary Gmail account just for Fitbit
