Unable to view my kids steps through laptop

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

wondering if anyone can help with this one.

I've set up my 2x Ace devices for my kids on my device... they don't have their own devices. I've set up the family and added the kids and the ACE devices. That's fine. However, I can't quickly and easily see the steps they've done from my web browser on my laptop. They appear as 'friends' but it says I don't have permission to view the steps!!! They are in my account!?

Thanks for any pointers.

Assuming you have them set up in a family account, from your main dashboard, click Account icon near top right, then click 'My Family', click the kid's name, then 'Switch to Kid View'.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Thanks. I can confirm that I've tried this method too.... Whilst I can see
the steps, it takes up to a minute for the app to switch to the kids
view... Do you experience the same?

@haverer Welcome to our Fitbit Community! Regarding your concern about not being able to view your kids' steps, you can only view them through the Fitbit app. The web-based Dashboard doesn't have the ability to show this information.

In regards to the "Kids View" issue, our team is actively working on a fix and we expect to have a solution released soon. Thank you for reporting this and I appreciate your patience and understanding with this.

@JohnnyRow Thank you so much for your help my friend!
