My son got a fitbit ace 2 recently and seemed to really like it at first, but is quickly getting tired of it because of the lack of content. I'm really disappointed in fitbit for not putting a lot of effort into creating goals/trophies/games for kids to encourage activity. There is very little for them to do other than competing with other family/friends for most steps. It's very obvious to me that they could have easily added a whole bunch of items or creatures to collect, or leveling up a character or fighting monsters by exercising, and I am really surprised that they wouldn't have thought of this. In the fitbit labs they have a Treasure Trek app and a Pet app which seem like they would be great for kids, but for some idiotic reason it's not compatible with the Kids fitbits!
I haven't been able to find any 3rd party apps that link to fitbit (if they even allow for that I don't know), and fitbit themselves don't seem to provide any content.
Any advice on how you keep your kids interested in their Ace 2 fitbits?
