All of a sudden I seen a green glow from under my Fitbit. Within hours my Fitbit was dead.
1) Itried switching the heart rate off then syncing, then put back on auto & syncing—still green
2)tried rebooting by p,jogging in charger & pressing button 3 times. It did reboot, saw Fitbit logo Then some numbers but 2 green lights still constantly on.
3) contacted Fitbit but it’s been over the 1 yr warranty- said nothing else to do but buy another
Fitbit..
Wondered if there’s something else I can try & is this a common issue..
fitbit only 1 yr 5 months - for the money should last longer than that.
any help would be appreciated.. thx

Hi @mmshadow
I suggest first cleaning the sensor with a wipe. Make sure nothing would cause the sensor to continuously stay on.
Then turn off the heart rate in settings
Then restart your phone and make sure the settings are still off.
Then restart your fitbit three times.
If that did not work, please let the fitbit battery drain, let it rest and then fully charge. (I read that worked for someone)
If that did not work, you may have a sensor issue.
Hope this helps...

This just came up for me last night too. Noticed it was dead, so I charged it up a little last night before bed. When I woke up it was dead again! ???
So I've tried the restart: Didn't work.
Tried the heart rate on/off thing: Still didn't work.
Also I noticed the display seemed to "flicker" in varying brightness.
Seeing a lot of replies on another related post not making confident that FitBit will EVER actually help on this.

Please contact support on this if these options fail - it seems to be a sensor error from what i've read online.

I did contact support & the basically stated past the 365 warranty & offered a 25% discount
off another purchase. Yes it sounds like a sensor issue but more of a common defective issue
that Fitbit did nothing to resolve

I tried that, but then the sensor units started going screwy. I gave it a full overnight charge and when I took it off, put it on my arm, and it blanked out. 1 sensor dim and blinking other bright and display not even working right. Another HR would be $80 and you'd have to get it off Amazon as they don't sell them on FB anymore.
