3 year old Fitbit Alta HR Suddenly won't take a charge

Instead of the active diagonal lines that shows it's charging, I can get a solid bar showing me how much it's charged - but only when it seems to hit the right spot. Otherwise, it doesn't even look like it's connected to a charger. Tried a second charger and the same thing happened. Tried cleaning the charger prongs and back of the Fitbit with rubbing alcohol. No difference. Is this the end of this device?

 I was just on the chat help.  They suggested cleaning the back with rubbing alcohol, dry & plug in.  Charge at a different outlet & push the button on the charger (outlet end) 3 times with a short pause between pushes.  Mine is up & charging now
