ALTA HR died today

I was reading in this community and find it strangely odd that several people had their Alta HR all die at the same time.  Does someone know something I don't know?  Thanks.

That's odd mine too.    Just did a complete charge before going to bed as the charge before didn't last the day. Now it's completely dead. 

 

I had my original replaced due to this as it was still under warranty.  Will try another charge and see what happens.   

 

BTW I have done all the steps indicated when battery issues occur.

Sorry to hear that. It seems like a trend. Unfortunately, Fitbit doesn't
seem to agree.

Well, I have charged it again and it has taken the charge.  We shall see how long it lasts...which is actually the issue. I had to completely chatge it twice yesterday.  Have never had it completely die twice in a day.

Mine went black on July 3rd. I plugged it in for several hours and wouldn't come back on. 3 days later I charged it again. I did a reset on it and it finally came back on. Charge won't last more than about 30 hours and it won't track my sleep any more.

Thank you for your post. I almost threw mine in the trash yesterday. I plugged mine into the charger and did a reset this morning after reading your message. I got mine to vibrate and wake up again after being totally lifeless. Charging now, will see what happens. Fingers crossed.Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

Mine also has started dying regularly. Never done it before but keeps switching itself off!

How do you restart the ALTA HR? I bought a new charger thinking it was the charger.  NOW NOTHING completely black will not restart or charge

Marketing scheme to get you to buy a new one with so many people having it die at the same time.  COINCIDENTAL, I don't think so.. poor marketing on their part!

I'm wondering if it is the Galaxy phone that has caused this??? I did an upgrade on my phone the day before it died

I plugged it back in to charger. Then I hit button on end of charher three times pausing momentarily inbetween.Hope that works for you.Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

Thank you for your post today. I was doing the same thing, getting ready to
see if this was ok to throw in a landfill or recycle but after reading your
post I tried charging it again. It's now charging again and actually
vibrated this time. Strange, I'm wondering if Fit Bit found a fix?I'm just
glad I waited to order a new one, thanks for saving me!

Plugged into charger & hit reset button - that always seems to work but it’s getting very tedious now after a week or so x

Well, that was short lived.  Was fully charged this morning now it is dead.  Put on the charger again to see how long the next charge is for.

OMG I just noticed mine died too.  Either today or yesterday.  I thought it was something I did.  I'm thankful for this forum.

mine stopped holding its charge yesterday and I’ve done the reset and now it won’t do anything it seems to have frozen and it is just showing the battery level on the screen

I thought mine was working again, the battery finally started to recharge
today. However, now the screen just flashes information and won't sync to
my account. Called CS they are escalating to IT hopefully there is a
software glitch that can be fixed.
