I was reading in this community and find it strangely odd that several people had their Alta HR all die at the same time. Does someone know something I don't know? Thanks.

I spoke to support, they said they were opening a case for me, I thought I would get some advice about what to do, but next thing I know they sent me a discount code towards purchasing a new Fitbit. However, in the meantime, I had been continuing to research and discovered their list of compatible devices and mine is not on it. I have a Samsung A5. I wonder if this has just happened since the latest update. What kind of phones does everyone else have who have had their Fitbit die recently? There is not point in me buying another one if my phone does not support it, and I am not not about to buy a new phone in order to have it work! I don't know why they can't just tell me if that is what the problem is.

Just did an update yesterday and fitbit completely died, can't charge it at all. Definitely an issue with the update since it happened to so many people at the exact same time. Hope this wasn't intentional on their part to force people to buy newer versions and hopefully they address the problem and fix it ASAP.

The heart rate on mine died last week and the whole device won't stay charged today...me thinks something is in the air.

After discussion with CS they assured me that everyone is crazy. They would never do anything to these devices. However it is very odd that so many died this week!
wont be buying another one! I had no problems with my device and overnight it dies?!!!
Very strange indeed!

I think mine just died tonight... It wouldn’t turn on, so I plugged it in and the screen is just black. I’m amazed that so many other Alta HRs have also recently died. That’s very odd! I’m going to reach out to support to see what they say. I’ve had it a little over 2 years, which I’ve heard is the lifespan of a Alta HR, but that is just too short in my opinion. I don’t think I’ll be repurchasing from Fitbit.

After a year and a half, my Alta was still lasting close to 7 days on a charge. However, starting yesterday, it won't get through a day.
Someone in another forum said that a recent update included removing the "always connected" option. Not sure if that is the reason.
It's fully charged as I get ready for bed. Going to see what happens tomorrow. It's awfully odd that this many peoole are having the same issue at the same time

Something seems fishy that so many people with the same device, but owned for different amounts of time are experiencing the exact same issue just in the last few days

No luck...Went to bed fully charged, woke up 6 hours later and it's at 40%. Time to toss in the trash and move on from Fitbits.

Same for me. It was a full charge before bed and was less then 1/3 of a charge when I woke up.
Looks like mine is ready to toss as well. Will most likely not buy another FitBit.
I hope they read these comments and realize how many clients they are losing. 🙄
