I was reading in this community and find it strangely odd that several people had their Alta HR all die at the same time.  Does someone know something I don't know?  Thanks.

Mine was fine until a few days ago . Battery life is suddenly very poor, Max up-to 6 houres,  Before it was several days. So Fitbit what went wrong?

Whoa. Mine is a little under two years old. A couple weeks ago it started dying whenever a silent alarm went off in the morning. I had difficulty getting charged and restarted. I eventually just turned off the alarms. But battery life was very very poor. It died last week and I haven’t been get it to respond to the charger despite cleaning it and trying all the restart procedures. Guess I’ll try calling.

It's crazy, I've have not had any problems at all with mine and it also just died today.

Dear @LizFitbit ,

Please take a look at all the comments regarding the impact of probably the same software changes from last week.

My Fitbit itself has been working fine since the last software upgrade.

My issue is that since the update, it went from needing to be charged every 5-7 days to barely making it through a day.

Coincidence?....Don't think so!

Not sure what this means? I have not done the phone software update if that it what it refers to. Or has there been an update at Fitbit?

I think Fitbit pushed it, I didn’t do any updates on my phone and it still happened

Mine had been inaccurately tracking steps for about a week, then today it began to vibrate when a call came in and wouldn’t stop vibrating so I took it off and it just died! Tried to charge it and no joy

I agree. Mine finally died today. I haven’t had my Fitbit Alta for super long (less than three years I believe) and there weren’t any issues at all until recently. It feels really suspicious and I don’t appreciate my money going down the drain for a well-taken-care-of fitness band.

Me too. I more recently bought a twelve band pack and now there’s nothing I can do with it. I agree. The 25% isn’t enough especially since I’ve had the Alta for a short amount of time and was perfectly fine then suddenly the thing doesn’t want to work anymore

I had this issue today. If it had been any hotter it could have burned my fingers. I’m glad I found it bc it could have started a fire.

Mine's been skipping alarms randomly the past couple weeks. Thinking it might be on the way out. I HATE HATE HATE all Fitbit's new models so this will be my last one.

I think Google is quietly sunsetting certain models that won't work well with their infrastructure...

Mine died yesterday morning, I managed  to get it reset yesterday and it died again overnight. Reset it again morning but it has died again at lunchtime. Now can't get anything to work.  It's been working perfectly since I bought it so I'm really annoyed and of course Fitbit can't be contacted.  I don't really want to pay another £130 for a watch that will die in 2 years.

I find they’re pretty responsive if you send them a message on Twitter

Mine has also died. The heart rate monitor was off the charts while I slept, or no record at all. Also stopped recording the sleep cycles. Called the customer service and went through the usual steps to reset. Nothing worked and after 3 years of use I was offered a 35% discount off a new fitbit. Am now looking at other options.   Any suggestions on other brands out there?
