Alta HR - Continual Scrolling of Display on Band

The display on my band is scrolling through time, steps, heart rate etc non -stop. After a certain period of time the scrolling stops but then the display goes blank and won’t reawaken with tapping. Will only come back on if I put it on the charger. Green heart rate monitor lights are always on even though setting is on Auto.  I have tried the reset sequence numerous times and all I get is the Fitbit logo and the battery icon— never get to the screen where the software version shows up.  Put band in rice overnight just in case there was water in battery/case. Fitbit was purchased July 2017 so it’s out of warranty.  Has anyone else experienced this?  Any remedies?

Mine fixed itself of all functions, but unfortunately the battery only last for 2 hours now on full charge with reset, so it's basically useless. I won't spend any more money on technology like this that has no replacement battery and only lasted 18 months.

I had no luck! Try putting it in a bag of rice to dry it! Mine was damp inside from my workout! Sweat go figure a fitness tracker that cannot get wet even a little! I had to throw mine out. Have not replaced it yet but lean towards an Apple each that you can actually swim in!

Any resolution?

Dead watch. Had to buy a new one. Don't know why they won't sell a new battery!

I purchased a new Fitbit. Several months later I came across the old one in a drawer and charged it back up and it was working normally. My guess is that moisture in the watch face/battery finally dried out. I never used the old Fitbit for a long time this discovery so I don’t know if the improvement was permanent.

I have a screen that is cracked and now endlessly scrolling.  After reading these posts I decided to blow dry the device.  Worked and back to normal know.

I am having the same issue with my Fitbit Alta HR. Tried to reset it but to no avail.  Quickly scrolls through date, time steps, HR.  Date is incorrect.  So frustrated.  Any solutions?
