My Alta HR heart rate monitor has been behaving very erratically the last couple of days. There are short periods where it cuts out recording my heart rate and places me in fat burn/cardio when I'm resting/not moving or whilst I'm sleeping. My HR chart has never been so colourful! It is also saying it hasn't been able to get comprehensive data for sleep analytics despite nothing changing-still on the same arm, sleeping in the same position etc and my HR chart is showing a reading throughout the night.
I have tried resetting it, turned the HR on and off on the app. Any ideas? It's throwing my calorie count off because I'm supposedly in FB/Cardio so much!

My Alta HR has been doing this since April and Fitbit support weren’t very helpful. They said about getting more than 3 hours sleep (I was getting 7-9 hours), when you sleep maybe it can’t trace you.... when you charge to press the button three times to boot it. Nothing has worked for me. Now it’s July and the bloody thing has burnt my wrist in my sleep! Must be faulty goods.

I've had that happen to me in the past.
Please restart your fitbit three times then restart your phone.
Fully sync and make sure you wear your fitbit as directed as in the manual.
When you're not exercising, wear Alta HR a finger's width below your wrist bone.
Below is a link to the manual for more info:

Please let us know if this was helpful or if you need additional guidance.

Mine stopped yesterday. Planned obsolescence?
