Please beware when ordering fitbit chargers directly from fitbit. Their support told me the alta was compatible with the alta hr. It turns out that it is not and now fitbit will not refund me initial shipping cost to my credit card and they have no alta hr chargers in stock to replace my order with.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @HelenStones. I'm sorry to hear about what happened with your Alta HR charging cable inquiry. Almost all Fitbit devices use different charging cables according to the model. 

Since you're already in contact with our support team I would recommend resolving your inquiries with them.
