Hello and welcome to the Fitbit Community @Hn2904

I’m sorry to see your having difficulty with your Alta HR draining quickly. There are a few things you can try to resolve the issue. First I would try making sure the Alta HR God contacts, as well as the charger gold contacts are clean and able to make a good connection to charge. Look here to see the proper cleaning procedures: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2005/?q=Clean&l=en_US&fs=Search&pn=1

I would also suggest restarting your Alta HR. You will not lose data doing this.

Here’s how:

  1. Plug your charging cable into a USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display. Your tracker will begin charging.
  3. Press the button on your charging cable 3 times within a few seconds, briefly pausing between presses. The button is on the end of the charging cable that is plugged into your computer. When you see the Fitbit logo and the tracker vibrates, this means the tracker has restarted.
  4. Unplug your tracker from the charging cable. Now try sync your Alta HR

I would also look here to find tips on extending your battery life: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2004/?q=Battery&l=en_US&fs=Search&pn=1

😃 Hopefully these troubleshooting steps help resolve the issue. Please let me know.

Hello again @Hn2904

I’m so sorry to read that restarting nor cleaning your Alta HR resolved the issue. I can suggest trying the restarting procedure a couple of times in a row. If this still does not resolve the problem I would suggest calling Fitbit Customer Service. Here are ways you can contact them: https://help.fitbit.com/?l=en_US&cu=1&fs=ContactUs

😃 I’m hopeful restarting a couple times in a row works

Hi dear,

Even restarting multiple times did not fix the problem.

I spoke to the support and they have identified that there is an issue. But
since i have just completed my 1 year warranty, they cant do anything about
it.

So i have no option to repair. I will have to go buy another one- which
definitely is not going to happen.

Hello again @Hn2904

I’m so sorry restarting your Fitbit Tracker has not helped. I have an Alta HR as well and I love mine so I can understand being frustrated if it wouldn’t hold a charge. Mine is over it’s one year warranty as well. I know your Fitbit Friends are going to miss you but I respect your decision to not want to purchase another tracker. It’s a personal choice. If you change your mind and ever need help I’ll be more that happy to assist you.
I wish you the best

I have the same problem. I have my fitbit since june last year and it's only lasting a few hours anymore.

I tried what yoy said about restarting but it doesn't do it. I feel it vibrating when I let the button go, but I don't see the fitbit logo.

I cleaned it too, but yet nothing changed.

Is it possible the battery can be renewed?

And I am from Belgium so where can I find a contact or call too for more info on what I can or should do?

Hello and welcome @Nele29

The battery can’t be replaced. Did you try the restarting method several times in a row.? Sometimes that helps. The ways to contact Fitbit can be found here: https://help.fitbit.com/?l=en_US&cu=1&fs=ContactUs&co=BE
