Alta HR calls, message notifications not working

Hi, 

All my notifications like calls and text message have been working on my iphone7. Since I've changed my phone with a Huawei p30 pro I don't receive any calls and sms texts. I've already restarted the fitbit, pair-unpair both devices bracelet and phone,checked if phone allows notifications with fitbit and is not on DND. Anyone has any other advice? Thank you.

Some users are still experiencing trouble with notifications after updating to iOS 13 or higher. The team of developers is already aware of this and they continue to work to find a solution as soon as possible. Thank you for all your patience and updates you've shared so far.

Notifications not working, no text, no messenger, no calls notification whatsoever. 

Terrible decision to buy this thing!

I have this issue too! I have the iPhone X and started having issues a few months ago. Just found out that under settings on my phone, I have to have the text message previews set as “Alway” or “When unlocked” in order for my Fitbit Alta to vibrate and show previews. I hate that I have to do this because I don’t want my text previews to show on my locked/unlocked phone screen. I’ve always had my text message preview setting set to “Never” and my fitbit would vibrate/show the preview until an update happened a few months back. I hope there’s a fix for this so I can have my phone preview setting back to “never”.

My calls and messages don't connect to my band. The test call doesn't work. When resetting it's finds the band to sent the 4 digit code so I know it's communicating with itself. VERY frustrating as i need this function. I'm at the point I want to try a different named tracker.. Please update the update.

Thank you for sharing that you've also been experiencing trouble with the notifications @Atran2 and @Hevlaaar. Before considering other options, please let me know if you already followed all the steps listed here: Why are notifications delayed or missing?

@FitzS, please make sure that you've followed all the steps listed here if you've stopped receiving notifications after the iOS 13 update. In addition, please let me know which version of the operating system you have in your phone at the moment.

Mines now all working now.
All trouble shooting guides say to reset the device but instead I only had to restart my phone after syncing the device and its all working.
So peeps! Try restarting your phone after set up.

After you enter the pin and it syncs try then restarting your phone. Worked for me.

i have tried all the suggestions in the trouble shooting with no luck. i called costumer care for help in case i was missing a step . come to find out its a software issues with the app and IOS 13 and Versa2. i was gifted this for Christmas because it would show text and notifications.Not working so why not just pay a bit more fore a Apple watch ?

I have the same problem. Texts and calls vibrated and the banner notifications were great then suddenly they stopped working. I have followed all the instructions on the help pages and checked that all the phone notification settings are correct and I've restarted the Alta HR but still it is not working. Ready to give up on Fitbit.

Hi there,

sync your phone to your fitbit and then restart your phone.  It worked for me, like you I had tried everything else but never thought to restart my actual phone.  Good luck

Hi - I have also been having issues with message notifications, on both my old iphone 6s and my new iphone 11 Pro.  I always keep my iphone system updated and currently have IOS 13.3.  Since about October, my notifications are not consistent, and have recently been non-existent.  I have restarted my phone several times and have tried everything listed here...except I can't figure out how to restart my fitbit.  My charging cable does not have a button on it (my original charger was stolen.)  My fitbit is synced to my phone, as my steps and sleep update daily, but I am missing one of the most important parts of owning a fitbit by not receiving notifications.  I received a new fitbit for Christmas, but am thinking about returning it for an Apple Watch if Fitbit doesn't fix the notification problem.  Can anyone help with suggestions that will enable notifications to my fitbit?

So interesting, everything just started working a couple of days ago. I’m getting my text messages and my phone calls pushed to my Fitbit again. I know they’ve been working on it so whatever they did seemed to do the job, finally. Thank you!

I’m also having this problem. Not receiving notifications for WhatsApp messages on my Fitbit Alta HR. Im using a Samsung Galaxy J5 and it was working fine up to now.
