Alta HR cardio frequency readings suddendly totally wrong

My Alta HR some time ago (I don't know exactly when) begun giving totally wrong cardio frequency reading: I double checked measuring manually: 88 bps is the real rate the Alta hr reads 130 !!!!

I already explored the fitbit site, the forums and Google, I reset twice the device, changed the position and moved it on the other arm: nothing helped.

I would like to be contacted by the Fitbit support or by someone who solved the same problem.
