Hi All,
I think I'm probably sunk here, but just in case...My 3 year old Alta HR died last week after splashing around in the shallows with my little kiddo. I didn't think anything of it, since I wear it while washing dishes, having her splash around in the tub, etc, but this was salt water, and it's now dead as a doornail. It does have a crack in the face that appeared maybe 6 months ago -- there was no impact that I know of, but with a little kid in the house you never know and it didn't really affect how it worked, so I've just been living with it. After it died, I left it our for a day and then tried charging it, but it didn't turn on and, probably worse, actually got warm.
I assume it's toast, but if anyone has any leads I would appreciate hearing them! I miss the sleep tracking especially -- nothing keeps me inline better than the visual display of how bad I'm doing at getting to bed at a reasonable hour and getting enough sleep!
Thanks in advance for any ideas.

The Alta is not water or swim proof.
When I wash dishes my arms do not get wet. might get some splashes but that it.
Your Alta was submerged

I do dishes with a (deep) sink full of water, so it definitely gets submerged, just not deeply or for long amounts of time. Similar to splashing in the shallow, except that was salt water, which I expect was my downfall. 😞
