My Alta HR has been dying sporadically and I have to plug it in the charger, do the reset/power restart, and it works for 5-10 mins and then next thing you know its dead. Anyone else having this issue? I wonder if fitbit does this intentionally so that if you’re fitbit is out of warranty, the customer rep will be like “i’ll give you % discount towards the purchase of a new fitbit”.

Hi @Jojophilly,
You need to contact Support right away (link is at the bottom of the page) and ask them for a Battery test. Something is wrong with the battery!

Thanks! A lot of Fitbit alta hr users seem to be having the same issue according to this thread. But customer support would tell me “i’ll give you % discount towards a purchase of your new fitbit” because im out of warranty. Seems a little shady business to me.

The same happened with mine. The battery gives problems with little more than 1 year. I saw a tutorial on Youtube on how to replace the battery, I bought once and exchanged it.
The Fitbit Alta HR battery is at 45 mAh 3.8 V 2mm x 10mm x 20mm. Maybe you want to try to do the same. Good Luck!
