Alta HR heart rate information inaccurate

For the past few weeks, I've noticed that when I take off my Fitbit HR to shower, it records a very high heart rate, usually around 170. And it lasts the entire time it's off. I've tried putting it in a drawer, but still does it. Is it something I can fix or is it another Fitbit glitch?

It's great to see you around, @Nancy618.

Thanks for troubleshooting this heart rate issue. If you are having problem with this data, I recommend taking a look at the help article: What factors can affect my heart-rate reading on my Fitbit device? and follow the tips provided there. After following them, test your unit.

Let me know the outcome.
