Alta HR is cycling through the displays

my Fitbit is about a year old.  it started cycling through all of the displays I have setup and won't respond to my taps.  I've tried charging and resetting the device but it keeps doing the same thing.  because it is cycling the charge gets depleted in about 4 hours.  any way to fix this problem?  thanks

I'm having this same issue.  I'm shocked to see so many people also experiencing this recently.  How do I go about getting a replacement?  Mine was a gift so I'm unsure of the exact purchase date.

They know when you set it up even if you haven't got a receipt and if it is within 2 years they should replace it, they did mine.

First they offered a 25% discount, then a 50%. Not exactly standing behind their product. 😞

I just got off of chat with customer service who did not help at all.  They gave no other information that what I had read online and already tried.  Mine is less than 2 years old and they did not offer me a replacement, just a discount code to buy a new one.  I would be okay with this if I new the battery was fading, but it went from working optimally to just not holding a charge.  Ridiculous.

Yes. Ridiculous. I will not buy again from them.

Well, I had to get a replacement. I got a Charge 3. Everything was going fine until today. My battery is dying at an alarmingly fast rate (1-2 hours). The face is going blank and it's vibrating incessantly right before dying.

I posted a comment and it seems that several people are having the same problem.

I’m having the same issue. Totally bummed with the device failing after less than 13 months.

I'm having the same issue.  I've restarted it 4 or 5 times.   The best result was that it kept cycling through screens rapidly, using up about 40% of the charge in about an hour.  I haven't had it 2 years yet.  It was fine until the recent "update".  How do I call customer service?

There are so many posts about this problem and yet no REAL response. Only "Thanks for reporting!"

These units are obviously expected to fail after 2 years.

I also have to temper my responses, because if it is too negative, it gets deleted.

When your unit malfunctions like all of ours, you decide what to buy next.

I realized after I posted initially that my Alta HR is less than a year old

When I have problems I usually email them on https://contact.fitbit.com and if their advice doesn't solve the problem they have always replaced my Fitbit if it's less than 2 years old.

Update on my issue.  My fitbit first started doing this on 7/1, Although I got it to charge and stop cycling I did get it to charge and stay charged for 1-3 days at a time, but this past charging I have kept the battery charged and I'm on day 5, and it seems to be holding the charge.  I have reset it several times in there and it has done it's cycling thing on and off when it has died.  Persistance has paid off in this situation, hopefully, it will contiue to hold it's charge again.

Mine ultimately did stop cycling and started holding a charge again but
never started reporting my heart rate again or sleep cycles. It just says
it can't provide sleep info.

Mine lost both the heart rate and the sleep cycle function until this last charging, and they both came back since I last charged it. The battery is very low now, but has lasted five days. If it goes out again, I’m not buying a Fitbit to replace it. Not very happy that this is so common.

Mine started cycling through displays yesterday and continued today. I tried resetting with the charger and trying to re set it up as a new Fitbit from my phone. Nothing has worked. I sent an E-mail to customer support and hoping they will respond quickly. I am seeing how common this is and it’s very upsetting. I got mine as a gift and can’t recall date but I believe it is less than 2 years. Praying they send me a replacement Fitbit. I can’t afford to buy myself a new one right now.

I hope they do replace yours as they did mine. It's strange that this is still happening - mine happened in May.

No replacement. Just a worthless discount to buy more of their products?!?! Not happy at all!

They said they will not replace it and offered me a discount. It has been way less than 2 years and I am very upset about this. I’ve been loyal for years. I wrote them back that several people wrote theirs was replaced if under 2 years so why is mine not being replaced. I haven’t heard back yet. I refuse to buy another one!! I will have to switch to another tracker which is upsetting and pricy.
