Intermittent issues;

  • device thinks the battery is dead.
    • app may or may not show the battery = empty. plug it in and immediately back to 80% then immediately displays a Battery full state.
    • app may show the device still tracking. it is getting heart rate data / steps, yet it won't wake on tap
    • device won't wake up when tapped

  • App - not showing heart rate data in the logged exercises, yet does display heart rate data for that time period in the heart rate monitor screens.
  • After logging 8+ hours sleep, won't give sleep data as it states 'insufficient heart rate data'. yet look at the heart rate monitoring overnight and it's all there

It's great to see you around, @paquer.

Thanks for the information provided and for troubleshooting the issues you are experiencing with your Alta HR. About the battery, I recommend taking a look at the following help article and follow the instructions provided there: Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?.

About the heart rate, is your Fitbit app updated? Which phone are you using? Are you still having this problem? Now the sleep, try the following:

  1. Manually sync the Fitbit. See instructions in the help article: How do Fitbit devices sync their data?
  2. Restart the Fitbit. See instructions in the help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  3. Try sleeping with the Fitbit on your non-dominant hand.
  4. If steps 1-3 don't work, I suggest manually logging your sleep to reflect the time slept. See instructions in the help article: How do I edit my sleep history in the Fitbit app?

Let me know the outcome.
