Hello there, I've had my Alta HR for about 2 years now and it's been working almost flawlessly the whole time. Unfortunately recently I've started experiencing issues with recording sleep cycles - they simply aren't available anymore.
Now I'm aware that when a Fitbit device cannot detect your heartbeat for an extended period of time at night, it simply foregoes sleep cycles. That being said, this problem started abruptly a couple of weeks ago and does not get better even if I'm careful to adjust my Fitbit snuggly before I got to bed.
I haven't swapped bracelets and everything is the same as it was, except now my Alta HR doesn't record my sleep cycles anymore. Same bed, same everything.
Is this a known issue or is it just my Alta HR slowly kicking the bucket? 😞
Thank you!

Hello @Holsteiner
I see you have already posted this issue here:https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Alta-HR/Alta-HR-not-syncing-sleep-cycles-anymore/m-p/3971216#M49924
I’m moving your post there. Posting the same issue in the same forum can cause confusion.

Update: I've been able to sync my Fitbit device once or twice over the span of the last few days but it seems that 99% of my attempts fail, even after I turn the Bluetooth on and off, and reboot my Alta HR. Only unpairing it and repairing it five times in a row seems to produce a sync, through sheer efforts and wasted time. Sometimes the steps and heartbeat data will sync, but the sleep data does not.
I therefore assume my Atla HR must be going belly up after a couple of years. I'll have to see if I invest in a new one or not.
FYI sleep cycle information is still available on free Fitbit and so are Fitbit sleep scores. Detailed sleep information such as sleeping heart rate and restlessness are premium only.
