My Fitbit app has been saying for the last month that it's having trouble syncing, but in reality it was always syncing fine. Now over the last five days my Alta HR is having trouble tracking sleep or exercise, so I think the sync problem is finally real. It's counting steps fine, but it can't recognize exercise, no matter how long or arduous. It's tracking my sleep but giving me simplified Sleep Details for the last five nights. I have not changed where I wear it on my wrist.
Here's what I've already tried:
I realize the Alta is an older model and I have refurbished one, so it's probably no longer supported and time for me to upgrade to something new. Any other options for something to try before I give up?

Hi LaLaMengK,
I also still have an Alta that stopped syncing back at the end of April. I had no idea it had stopped syncing. I ended up buying an Inspire 2 as I read on several sites that Fitbit was no longer making the Alta or Alta HR. As soon as I bought and added my new Fitbit Inspire 2, it immediately synced. The main page of Fitbit will still say it is been awhile since I synced but I know it is syncing because it registers my steps, miles, calories, stress and sleep. I really like my Alta too. My strap just broke so not sure what I am going to do. I still have been wearing it. They only seem to offer straps for the newest Fitbit models.Best of luck with your Fitbit.
