I’ve read other posts. I too am not getting consistent readings of sleep stages. Yes the band is set properly on my wrist. Yes the HR is charged. Yes my heart rate tracks all night. Given everything I’ve read, could it be that Fitbit is having a software problem? Any thoughts? Any suggestions?

My original Fitbit Alta HR worked 8 months, I received a new one after the heart rate monitor went bad and caused the display to go out. My newer Fitbit HR worked for 1.5 months, but quit tracking sleep stages about two weeks ago when it appears hundreds of other users started having their issue. This is clearly a software issue.

It seems that users of the Charge 3 are also experiencing this problem quite widely so I’m fairly confident it’s a FitBit problem but be patient as they’re onto it and will hopefully resolve it soon. I have had no sleep stages recorded for the last two nights and shorter sleeps, or naps, are not registering.

I've restarted my Fitbit several times. I'm able to get other data (steps) but not anything hr related

Hi, I had the same problem for about a week. After trying lots of solutions I found updating the app worked.

Yes I switched to Inspire and am also pleased. Sometimes it doesn’t track whole night but that is rare and could be attributed to my Fitbit not being tight enough on my wrist.

Since 3/2 my Fitbit is no longer giving me details about my sleep. I’ve done nothing different, am wearing it as I always have and have restarted it correctly. Why am I no longer receiving details?

There was an Android app update on 3/2. My phone installed the update on 3/6 and I didn't get sleep scores that day or 3/7. I charged my Fitbit Inspire yesterday and let it charge to the smiley face completion and got a sleep score today (last night). I have been having good luck with the Inspire since around January 20. One Inspire user noted that she didn't get sleep scores if she let the battery get below 50% and mine was getting a score at 46% but not 42% so now I try to recharge when the battery gets to around 50%. I definitely think that the Android app update may cause issues but at least for today, I did get a sleep score.

Thank you very much. I have an IPhone so not sure the same solution will work, and I have charged it to full and reset it but will try again. Really frustrating; and if it doesn’t work I probably won’t buy another Fitbit. Thanks for answering though!

You might want to check your iPhone store and see if there has been a recent update to the app.

I only got the one sleep score on 3/8 after the app update. No sleep score 3/9 or 3/10. I'm calling Fitbit today. I will also try the 3 times restart ...

Yes thanks! I called this morning and am trying to Re-sync my account. They were very nice. We’ll see what happens tonight.
